Introducing Propel
Propel, brought to you by our partners Concert Finance, is a Prepaid Energy Services Agreement (ESA) program paired with a Concert loan. It is a hybrid product financial product designed to give homeowners immediate peace of mind and a clear path to owning their system.
The program offers several key benefits to the homeowner:
- No Upfront Costs: Homeowners can go solar without out-of-pocket expenses.
- Performance Guarantees: Systems are backed by production guarantees to ensure they perform as promised.
- Worry-Free Maintenance: The program includes system monitoring and maintenance.
- Pathway to Ownership: While initially a service agreement, the model is designed for the homeowner to exercise an Early Buyout Option (EBO) and take full ownership, typically after five years.

Propel in Solargraf: From Design to Financing in One Workflow
Solargraf's Propel integration allows installers to integrate with their Concert credentials and submit a propel credit application. This integration is designed to let installers manage the end-to-end residential solar financing flow without leaving Solargraf. Installers can now run credit checks, submit applications, send docs for signature, and manage changes to applications — all from the Solargraf proposal.
Key functionalities:
-
Integrate with Concert finance on Solargraf
- Installers can enter and manage their Concert credentials directly under company settings.
-
Prequalify customers with QuickCheck
- Run a soft credit check (“QuickCheck”) directly on proposal.
- Get a fast approved/pending/declined response without a hard credit inquiry.
- Use it early in sales conversation to guide customers to the right product
-
Submit the full financing application
- When the homeowner is ready to move forward, installers can:
- Complete and submit the full application in Solargraf
- Do it live at the kitchen table or inoffice along with the customer
- Keep track of the application status on the same proposal
-
Let customers complete details by email
- If installer & customer don’t want to finish everything on the spot, they can:
- Send the design details to Concert portal
- Send an email on Concert portal to homeowner to complete their application
-
Send legal documents for e-signature
- After approval, they can trigger legal documents / esignature (via email) from Solargraf
- Homeowners can sign electronically
- Installers can track contract signing status of documents on Solargraf
-
Process after signing
- Once signed, Greentech Design Services (GRDS) works with installer to generate final plan sets and validate production.
- After installation, substantial completion is verified, and the project moves toward Permission to Operate (PTO).

Key benefits of Propel on Solargraf
Using Solargraf as primary tool for Propel projects ensures a smooth hand-off throughout the project lifecycle:
- Design-First Approach: Solargraf is a designated design tool for the Propel program, allowing creation of accurate, professional proposals that meet program requirements from the very start.
- Simplified Installer Process: Our platform helps manage the project requirements, allowing installers to focus on the sale while the software handles the complexities of the proposal.
- Higher Conversion Rates: By offering a product with competitive rates and a clear path to ownership, installers often see higher customer conversion.
- Comprehensive Solar + Storage: Solargraf supports the design of the residential solar-plus-storage systems required for the Propel program.
Why This Matters for Installers
For solar professionals, the combination of prepaid lease mechanics and an integrated proposal-to-finance workflow has practical implications across the entire sales cycle.
- Expand addressable market: The end of the residential ITC has changed the math for cash and loan customers. Offering a competitive prepaid lease alternative like propel — with a clear cost advantage and no escalators can be very helpful. This can re-engage homeowners who have paused their solar decision while waiting for clarity on incentives.
- Reduce proposal complexity: Traditional TPO products often require installers to manage separate tools, separate contracts, and separate conversations with finance teams. By having Propel financing embedded in Solargraf, the conversation stays in one place. Installers can model multiple scenarios (cash vs. prepaid lease vs. financed prepaid lease) side-by-side in a single proposal.
- Build customer trust with transparent terms: One of the most common objections to solar leasing has been a lack of transparency: escalating rates, buried fees, and unclear end-of-term terms. Propel's structure — fixed payments, no hidden fees, pass-through tax credit value, and a defined buyout pathway — gives installers a straightforward story to tell. Transparent financing makes for confident customers.
- Leverage Enphase hardware requirements: Because Propel's partnership with Enphase specifies Enphase hardware to meet domestic content requirements, installers already working in the Enphase ecosystem have a natural fit. Systems designed in Solargraf with Enphase components are positioned correctly from day one for Propel financing eligibility.
The bottom line
The residential solar financing market is in a period of genuine structural change. The elimination of the homeowner ITC has shifted the advantage decisively toward TPO structures — and prepaid leases specifically offer a compelling combination of upfront cost savings, fixed economics, and professional maintenance that resonates with today's buyers.
Propel, brought to you by Concert Finance, is a partnership with, SolSource Solutions, as the TPO, Concert Finance, as the loan provide, and Enphase, as a strategic partner. The product represents a well-structured entry into this space: transparent terms, integrated loan origination, tax credit value shared with the homeowner, and a buyout option that preserves long-term flexibility. These are features that address the legitimate criticisms of traditional solar leasing models.
For installers using Solargraf, the integration removes workflow friction at a critical moment in the sales process — enabling the design-to-financing handoff to happen within the same platform. That's not a small thing. Every hour saved on re-entering customer data or chasing financing status is an hour that can go into the next install or the next sale.
Experience the Propel advantage
With Solargraf’s powerful design capabilities with Propel’s unique financing structure, installers can provide their customers with a high-performance solar solution. That is predictable and eventually becomes their own.
