We have introduced Sol, an AI-powered assistant built directly into Solargraf — so you spend less time searching for answers and more time designing and closing deals.
What is Sol?
Sol is Solargraf's new built-in AI assistant — available directly inside the tool at all times, from every screen. It's designed specifically around Solargraf's features and workflows, so you get answers that are relevant, accurate, and actionable without ever leaving your project.
Sol is focused exclusively on Solargraf product knowledge: how features work, where to find things, and how to move through your workflow faster. It's not a general-purpose chatbot — it's a specialist that knows Solargraf inside and out.

Why Sol is a step change for solar installers
- Available 24/7
- Get answers any time — no need to wait for support hours or a reply to a chat.
- Always in context
- Sol lives in the persistent sidebar — accessible from every page inside Solargraf, without breaking your flow.
- Reduces wait time
- No more pausing a design to search support documentation or having to reach out to a support agent
- Instant escalation
- Need a human? One-click to reach a support agent.
Functionality, step by step
- Open Sol from anywhere
- The Ask Sol icon sits in Solargraf's persistent left-hand navigation bar — visible whether you're on project listing, design, proposals, or any other screen. One click opens the chat panel.
- Ask anything about Solargraf
- Type your question in plain language. Sol is scoped to Solargraf's product and features, so you'll always get a focused, relevant response rather than a generic AI answer.
- Escalate to a support agent if needed
- If Sol can't resolve your issue, you can reach a live support agent directly from within the Sol panel — either via the three-dot menu or by typing "connect to support agent." The live chat opens without you having to leave the tool.
- Share feedback on every response
- Rate individual responses inline or leave overall feedback on your experience with Sol using the "Leave feedback" option — helping us continuously improve the assistant.

Sol is just getting started
The current release gives you Sol as a standalone AI assistant. In the coming releases, we're working on deeper integration — including merging the live support chat directly into the Sol experience, so you never need to context-switch to a separate window, or the ability to create projects directly from Sol itself.
