Self Service Permit Guidelines
Published on 23 Apr 2024
Overview
Self service permit feature in Solargraf largely captures permit requirements in compliance with governing codes of AHJs. However, there are jurisdictions with local requirements which self serve flow doesn't support today. This document captures those additional local requirements, not supported as part of self service flow, to help installers to go through them and incorporate in the permit plan set before submitting to AHJ.
Understanding Your Permit plan set
The permit plan set serves as a detailed blueprint for your proposed solar system, ensuring it aligns with relevant codes, regulations, and manufacturer recommendations. While both manufacturer instructions and applicable codes are considered during design, it's important for the contractor to verify and ensure the design's accuracy.
Reviewing and Modifying the Permit plan set
Give the entire permit plan set a thorough review.
If adjustments are needed, use the Solargraf app or a DWG editor to make them.
For any additional information required by your local jurisdiction, create a supplementary PDF document and upload it to the design. You can also use the DWG editor to directly add this information.
Reporting Issues
If you encounter any issues that seem to be caused by a bug in the software, please let us know so we can address it promptly.
