Understanding Battery Sections in Your Webquote

In this guide, we'll walk you through the battery sections in the webquote, making it easy for you to locate details and understand their sources.
Different Types of Battery Modes
Battery modes in Solargraf define the primary purpose for which the battery will be used by the homeowner. You can include the following modes in your Solargraf webquote:
- Backup during outages: This mode of operation assumes the battery will only be utilized in case of a grid outage.
- Self-consumption: This mode prioritizes the use of available energy in the battery as well energy produced from solar. The grid is only utilized in the case that either solar or storage energy is not available.
- Savings (with export): This mode of operation prioritizes generating savings on the utility bill. Note, this type of model is only available if a time-of-use tariff is selected on the project Utility Settings.

Battery Sections on the Webquote
You can access the information mentioned above, along with additional details related to the battery, within the 'Benefits of Adding Battery' and 'System Design' sections.
The Why add a battery? section presents some of the benefits to adding a battery to your project as well as some of the performance metrics. The display in this section will change according to the storage mode selection made via the Battery Design Tool.
