Navigation Guide (3D Design Tool)

The following guide provides some information on the navigation tools in the 3D design tool.

Side Bar Navigation Tools
- The Pen tool (P) can be used to draw the outline of the roof.

- The Select tool (S) can be used to select lines and objects in the drawing.

- The Obstructions tool (O) can be used to add in objects to the drawing such as chimneys and skylights.

- The Keepouts tool (K) can be used to define areas where no panels should be added on the roof.

- The Walls tool (W) can be used to add vertical walls to the roof design.

- The Trees tool (T) can be used to add trees to the design.

- The Ruler tool (N) can be used to measure lines and objects in the design.

- The Split Screen tool (/) allows users to view both the drawing and satellite map view at the same time.

- The Wizard (Q) allows users to automatically detect the roof line types, add trees, detect pitch and azimuth, as well as add obstructions to the design.

Top Bar Navigation Tools
- The Toggle Guided Tour allows you to enable a walkthrough of how to use the 3D design tool.

- The Change Imagery (I) button allows you to select different satellite imagery for your design.

- The Re-align design with background image tool (Z) allows you to move the satellite imagery and align it with your design.

- The Design Tool Settings allow you to change your design settings such as editing the project losses.

- The Toggle drawing labels visibility tool (V) allows you to toggle on the visibility of gridlines, pitch and azimuth, project location, contrast mode, ruler tool measurements, dimensions and trees.
